Bella Derma was founded in October of 2006 by Melissa R. Warren, Ceo/Medical Aesthetician. Melissa has
8 years of experience in the Aesthetics Field. She began as a MakeUp Artist and Skin Care Consultant, traveling to New York
City in order to help her clients get started modeling with the industry's top agencies, Wilhelmina, Elite,Trump, and
Ford. She then furthered her passion for helping others by attending DaySpa Career College and receiving
her diploma and license in Aesthetics. After graduation she was offered a position as head of the cosmetics
division of a Dermatology practice, where she worked for almost three years. It was during her time at the practice that Melissa
realized the passion and real potential she had for offering her clients even more.
Melissa started
Bella Derma as the ideal setting to do just that. She can now offer her clients a place to get real results and knowledge,
not only about their skin and outer being, but also their general internal wellbeing; all in a relaxing Spa atmosphere. As
she personally suffered with very bad cystic acne from the age of twelve, Melissa never imagined she would one day be
capable of helping others find relief from something she struggled so terribly with as a young woman. That realization is
what fueled and continues to fuel her passion and eagerness to help others who are suffering from similar experiences. Melissa
was in and out of the dermatologist's office while growing up, and out of desperation she tried every prescription, every
topical cream, and every gimmicky infomercial product in an effort to clear up her acne. Yet still...the acne always
returned. It wasn't until Melissa figured out the root causes of her breakouts that she was able to get them under
control. Now, she is able to devote all of her professional time and energy into teaching her clients what those root causes
are so she can help them deal effectively with their skin and health care problems. Melissa's focus for both her and her
clients isn't simply for treating the surface of the skin, but rests more importantly on eradicating what causes those
problems in the first place.
Since the inception of Bella Derma, Melissa has been invited to California
to do a mentorship with Maria Aparis of Spa on Location in Los Angeles. Melissa has traveled to celebrities'
homes and has worked on location in Malibu, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Hollywood. In addition, she has
been able to realize a dream of hers and perform makeup artistry for a Hollywood movie premier and help her clients prepare
for the red carpet.
